Rebooting Days 3-5

So lets see... I'm still doing okay on this juicing twice a day and having a solid dinner but last night (day 4) we only had a veggie dinner. But let me tell you it kicked arse! In fact we're never having meat tacos at home again!

So on Day 3 we made a fruit juice for breakfast and I must say I personally prefer the fruit juices. For some reason the veggie heavy ones do not make me want to drink them. But I am still trying my best!

So here are the pictures.

Lunch Day 3
Here's the broccoli juice I mentioned last post. I really didn't like it, but I drank it anyway. This is a picture of one serving. We didn't change this one very much at all, with the exception of the extra kale. It was okay.

Breakfast Day 4
Mean Green take two. This time with the right amount of celery and a peeled lemon. We didn't like it as much. We prefer it with less celery and more apples, but it was still quite tasty.

Lunch Day 4
So this one sounded good in concept but the onion over powers it. Strongly over powers it. Our guess is too much onion! Otherwise this was a very good juice. I saved mine to eat as soup since it was too strong for me to drink and instead drank my 'Backup Juice' which was a Naked Green Goodness.

And this was breakfast today (Day 5)! We branched out and decided to try our own with what we happen to have in the fridge. We smashed the last two bananas with a cup of coconut water, and then added in an apple and a cucumber (not pictured) to make enough to make three servings. The third of which Logician will have for lunch. It was awesome! The bananas were a bit chunky so it was a nice change of pace.

All in all we've learned some good lessons about what juices well, what doesn't, and what needs some tweaking. I'm a little nervous about going to full juice because of the fact that I am terrified I won't get enough protein for my very physical job, but we will see how it goes!

I'm off to turn Day 4's lunch into soup! Ciao!
