Massage Life and Bento

So this is the second full week of school and surprisingly I already have learned the key strokes for Swedish massage. I am amazed at how much I have learned in such a short time! If only my W2 would get here from the A/C company I'd be able to file my taxes and buy a table... Alas it will come.

I haven't been blogging much because of schedules, lack of ingredients for Bento, and just plain exhaustion. Also a I have been trying out Star Trek Online which is awesome (not the best MMO in the world but awesome). So that has gotten all my spare time. I am enjoying things and glad to be back into the Bento swing of things. Logician has been working very hard with school and is now enjoying cooking the meat that I put in the Bento. He started Sunday night with delicious Tilapia that he made for dinner and for Bento, and tonight he made some steak for dinner and his Bento and pork chops for my Bento (because the steak didn't go as far as I'd have liked for Bento, but was nummy in my tummy for dinner!).

So on to the Bento!

Here are yesterday's Bento

Logicians:

And Mine:

They both include brown rice, which is a new addition to my Bento making. We found it for fairly cheap from a bulk bin at the local grocer (as in sells local products). It doesn't stick together well but was quite tasty. We then have left of Tilapia that was cooked in a tasty marinade from Fresh Market. Then there is the standard line up of cucumbers, carrots, and snow peas. I topped his top box off with blue berries in a small dish, and mine includes some sauteed spinach.

I have decided I am infinitely better at functional Bento and am going to lay off trying the charaben for awhile now. Maybe once I get some single tier squares it will be easier. But we'll see. I do sometimes get creative. Tomorrows are:
Logician

Mine

Both of these include some blue berries, almonds, carrots, and our new fruit addiction dried kiwi. They are amazingly delicious so I thought I would include some in tomorrow's lunch. Both of us have some mashed sweet potato, he has steak, and I have a pork chop. I topped my rice with some furikake I made. It includes cut up dried umeboshi, white sesame seeds, some garlic, pepper, and red pepper flakes. I also have another box with white mushrooms, cucumber, and tomato to make a veggie salad.

I haven't made Miso soup for us to take in awhile due to me being lazy about hauling extra stuff to school, but I will probably have some soon as I am really enjoying it! Well it's off to finish up before giving Logician a practice massage and then getting some sleep.

Light and Love!
