Both his and my main dish involve a lot of rice, a quick sautee of snow peas, spinach, and broccolli with a little bit of lime juice. I then sliced a hardboiled egg for each of us and put the whole one in his (which looks awesome) and the white of the second in mine.
Here's his:
It looks very cute in my opinion. Hopefully it will taste great too.
And mine, which also has a salad making mine the "Very Green Bento"
I decided to put some white and black sesame seeds on my egg and saute, and also have a salad with tomatoes and green salad olives. Finally I have two tangerines, one peeled and one unpeeled to snack on.
It is fun to see what I can come up with at the end of the week when I am running out of the veggies I bought during the weekend. I am now out of olives, cucumbers, snow peas, broccoli, down to one egg, and low on spinach. So tomorrow's will hopefully involve either a kimchi and rice dish or some left overs from dinner tonight.
The 1st part of Logician's Holiday gift arrived yesterday, now I am ready to order the second part and purchase wrapping paper! Probably the first week of December we will purchase an artificial tree to setup somewhere downstairs (I am excited for the Holiday this year because I am getting Bento stuff!).
Happy Thursday! One more day till the glorious weekend!
You don't like the yellow in hard boiled eggs either? You ROCK!!! I have been trying to find a way that I could pour the white into my egg shapers and not have to put the yellow in there. Unfortunately, they don't seal well enough to pour into them and then boil the egg shaper. Still trying to figure that out.
ReplyDeleteI had read some where that there are some where you push the egg into the mold and it molds it. But yea I am not a big fan of yolks when they are hard boiled. I can eat them in sunny side up eggs but not hard boiled ones.
ReplyDeleteI so agree with the egg issue.
ReplyDeleteI will look to see if I can find mine and take a picture for you. They are really cool, I just had a hard time finding the egg shapers.
